    Wiring Honeywell CT60A T-stat

Hey everyone. I would like to know if anyone could tell me how to wire a honeywall CT60A thermostat to an extension cord so I can use it with an oil heater. I need to heat my new rat room that is in the barn and I know that people have done this before. I need to connect it in a way that it has a female extension cord for the heater, and a male connection to plug it in with, similar to a Johnson t-stat.
    Any help would be appreciated.

This is what I have to work with

Their not designed to be wired in that manner.

Not to mention none are rated to handle 500-1500 watts of power.

Be alot cheaper to buy a Johnson or Ranco for about 88$ shipped and have ease of mind.

so there's no way to wire it like that? I've seen it a few times but I can't find the info I need to do it.

You can also just buy a oil radiator heater with build in digital thermostat for the rat room and be perfectly fine.

I picked up one from Home Depot for about 60$. Thermostat on it is more than you need for a rat room.

Hmmm, I'll have to look into it. But just to be sure, are there any inexpensive t-stats that are similar to mine that would work for this?

With the space heater being high wattage you dont want to have it operating though a cheap thermostat. Otherwise youll end up with frozen rats or cooked rats.

Point well taken, I have a buddy that lost most of his rats because of a faulty t-stat. I'll figure something out.
