    need some cage help.

well i am new to the forum and to bp's. right now i have a super pastel female. she is doing great in her tank but ijust got a set of boaphil cages. my problem is i can not get them warm enough for her. the heat tape they came with is no good. so i got some heat rope and it is not doing it. my question is what should i use on the bottom? been looking at more flexwatt tape and Intellitemp Reptile Heat Mats that look like they will fit between the two cages. if anyone has anything better would be great help. cages are 35.5Lx24Dx17.5H

I suggest 3" flexwatt ran across the back (on the floor), connected to a thermostat of course.

well, you may need a bulb, a blue daylight bulb for the day obviously, and a infrared bulb for night time.

You may need to look at a radiant heat panel. They do a pretty good job warming an enclosure, and still give you your hot spot....

    Re: need some cage help.

You need to install a radiant heat panel. With an RHP, you don't need an under tank heater. It will heat the ambient temp, and the hot spot.
