My snakes are trying to kill me

I HATE when they do this! I couldn’t see the Axanthic girl’s head and I really thought she was dead! And then after I was done freaking out over her, I noticed that the girl right above her was doing the same exact thing. I think they’re working together to try to give me a heart attack.

Heather, this might be the funniest thing I've ever heard.

Also - I feel ya on the heart attacks. One of my snakes is a houdini - She has a truck towstrap tiedown on her tank, and more than once I've been unable to find her. Come to find out shes under her substrate. Odd little python she is. In a house full of cats, its not exactly safe for her to be out on her own xD

OH! And the first picture is totally adorable - now that you can see her head xD

Lol, I've freaked out a couple times when I found them like that! I'm also curious to know if you have been breeding as well, that's a fairly common thing to see if you are breeding.

Haha. I've paired the Axanthic once, but that was only a couple of weeks ago. The normal just laid late this summer so I haven't started with get yet. So no, I wasn't expecting this behavior from either of them.

LOL. Your snakes probably say the same thing. "The human opening the tubs is trying to kill us!"

Yea , I have gone thru the same thing myself. But that is just typical cooling behavior, normally done when then are in season , developing eggs etc.
