When breeding females go off feed

I have a female pastel that began locking w my lesser male around the beginning of October. They have locked 5 times since. She went off feed a few weeks after they began locking which I thought was a good sign. She had a shed last week and this week looked hungry, so I offered her a rat and she ate. So my question is, does this mean she is not yet developing or do females not usually go off feed until after ovulation?

If you can feel follicles keep pairing her, as when they get bigger she will begin to eat more.

I think its normal all of my breeding females did the same thing last year and this year. I started getting locks and a couple of weeks later they quit eating, they go into shed, then start eating again only to go off again later. A couple of mine just started eating again as well after a little fasting. Good luck hope all goes well.
