Need some opinions on what to get
I am working a trade deal with someone worth $700.
Here are my options as to what he has available for trade. These are all 2011's
0.1 Albino $400
0.2 Het. Albino $50 ea
1.0 Albino $300
0.1 Lesser $300
1.0 Lesser $250
0.1 Bumblebee $475
I'm 98% positive that Im going to get the female Lesser. Now that leaves me with $400. I am willing to add $75 to get the Bublebee but i'm up in the air at the moment. I know where I am leaning but I just want to hear what people have to say.
I want to know if you had the option what would you get?
I know it really comes down to what I like and want to breed. I understand that I just want to know what others would do.
Here is what I have at the moment
1.0 Mojave (breeder size)
1.0 Granite (breeder size)
0.2 Pastel (2011 480g)
0.3 Normal (2 at breeder size)

Re: Need some opinions on what to get
if i was in your shoes, i'd do what your thinking and get the female lesser and the female bee, that way you can have a shot at BEL's and some granite bees

I would take the pair of albinos all day... Bees are coming down in price, and can still make some cool morphs, but albino x albino is all albinos at 350-450 apiece.... thats my choice

You need some recessives, in my opinion I'd go with the albino girl over the bee.

I would find an extra $100 and get the 1.1 Albino and 0.2 het albino. Theres an entire breeding project
1.1 Het Albino Ball 1.0 Spider
1.0 Mojave Ball 0.1 Pinstripe
0.1 Honey Bee 0.2 Normal
1.0 Caramel 0.1 Mojave het Caramel

It depends who initiated the trade and who set the $700 mark but I would take the Entire Albino group. I just recently bought some Albinos and het albinos as a FUND project. They hold value year after year, always sell and if you grow them right that should be a decent little productive package. That said if I'm the one with the albinos, I'd be more than willing to get rid of those extra mouths to feed. Just my thoughts.

Yeah, I would get all of the albinos / hets as well. A really great investment morph.
But it's more important that you are working with morphs that are of interest to YOU.

I would say that it depends on the direction you want to take. An albino project will pay for itself and contribute towards your funds for other projects. That being said, I don't care much for albinos personally and would probably grab the Lesser and Bee girls myself as they would fit better into my projects and I just like them better. One other consideration, which are the better examples of the morph of the animals you are picking from? If for example, the Bee girl was "dirty" with lots of speckling and the albino girl was a reallly nice high contrast, I'd opt for the albino instead. I'll opt for better quality every time.
