For the Ladies... Save your snakes SHED!!!

I saw this video and i figured i could relate it to this board for the ladies on here. I did not find it of much interest but maybe it will spark a interest for others.

It talks about the nail fashion industry using snake skin for pedicures.

Woah, people pay 100-300 dollars for this?! Why haven't we been banking on this, LOL!

I have visions of myself getting thrown out of so many nail salons trying to sell my snakes sheds.

Snake skins aren't exactly sterile... do they clean them somehow?

    I find that so gross.

The sheds were packaged from a manufactuer, so most likely they are sterilizing them, packing them up and shipping them to various salons.

If anyone finds out what company, they could offer the company home-grown USA snake shed skin to use. Might make a few bucks, but it's not going to be $100 or anything. That's the finished price for the manicure.

As far as price, some places charge $100 for a regular manicure, so it's not outrageous considering it takes the worker something like 2 hours of work to apply it.

Was it just me, or were those black nails obcenely thick and icky looking though?? None of the work looked very high quality to me, with all the edges not matched or blended. I do better work on the dog nails at work, frankly.

I have to agree their work looks terrible. The snake skin thing is kind of cool, but I would rather it be painted like snake skin than have real snake skin on my fingers! I eat with those things!

Snake shed under a coat of the clear polish would be every bit as clean as your fingernails ever are.
