    Longest shed

How long can the shedding process take before the snake actually sheds?! Its been 11-12 days since she's been in hibernation mode, due to an upcoming shed cycle. I saw her go through the blue phase, she has been in the 'dull, but dark eyes again ' phase for the last 3 days and no shed. (Much thanks to the shedding sticky for telling me what to expect)

She has come out twice in the last 24 hours to drink and switch hides. Each time she has rubbed her head against stuff like she is trying to start the shed, but still no shed. I don't know what to do. Maybe everything is fine and I'm just worried. Seems to be taking foever and I'm wondering if conditions are such that she is unable to start the actual shed. Like I said, its been 11-12 days of this (probably 4 since blue phase)

    Temp : 77 cool side - 92 warm side
    Humidity : 60-70%

Sounds pretty normal to me, I think you just may be worrying to much

As long as your humidity is good and she has something to rub against I would say give it another week before becoming concerned

Something I do personally is make a shed box (put moist sphagnum moss in the hot side hide) basically what it does it create a sauna type effect with about 100 percent humidity - but It would be a waste now since yours is about to peel the skin off, good idea for next time.

Anyway, dont worry everything sounds fine just give her a few more days to try to get it off, maybe do an extra occasional mist

Nah I think you're fine. I have 1 bp who ninja sheds and goes from dull to blue to completely shed in less than a week. Then I have another who takes freaking 2.5 weeks to go through the whole cycle. Every snake's different.

Mine are the same way. My albino went blue 13 days ago and as of last night she still hadn't shed. My pastel went blue this past Friday and shed out yesterday.

Thanks for the replies. I feel better now, less stressed. I do have a humid hide in with her, and while I don't see her inside it much I'm sure it is helping keep humidity up.

Gah that's so frustrating! Haha! I always miss my albino's blue period...
