    Woma vs. Jag sib

    Hey!

Got a small collection of ball pythons atm, but im looking into getting a snake to keep more as a pet. Since I disturb my balls as little as possible, it would be nice to have a snake to handle when I feel like it.

I am choosing between a jag sib (pure mcdowelli) or a woma.

What would you choose? Also, explaining your choice would be nice.

I would go for the woma. Most are nice, they stay relatively small (5-6 ft. rarely 7), they are fun to hold and all around look amazing. I'm not saying jaguars are bad; I have two myself. Jags have coastal CP in them which allows them to grow way past the length of ball pythons.

    Hope this helps!

    Re: Woma vs. Jag sib

I'm partial to womas, but I also have a few really nice jag sibs that I'm raising............along with jags, coastals, and IJ's. You really can't go wrong with either a woma or carpet......they are both really great, medium sized pythons that serve as great pets and/or breeding projects.

Now if I was forced to choose between a woma or a jag sib, I'd have to see each one and make the decision. I'd choose a really nice woma any day over a muddy, non-descript jag sib..............and vice-versa. There are some muddy, brown womas floating around and also some really nice abberant jag sibs out there so it would really come down to the individual animal. Good luck in whatever you choose!

For something in that size range I would look into a black head, or super dwarf retic Personally... But between the two would say the carpet, I have seen more calm adult carpets than calm adult womas

I'm biased since I keep carpets and not womas, but I'd vote the carpet.

    Coastals are my absolute favorite

Thanks for all the opinions I ended up getting a coastal. Figured it would be cool to go with a larger snake, since all other snakes I keep atm are bps.
