Generally speaking, the person who discovered the morph to be genetic names it... Sometimes the hobby changes the name itself though. Pastels used to be Pastel Jungles, and there are a few other names that were shortened or changed throughout their days in the hobby.

A dinker is a ball python that is "different" and you want to breed to see if it either passes on cool stuff genetically or even could be a new morph! A dinker could be anything from a normal ball python with a lot of blushing, or a ball python with a never before seen pattern... Just something that has no guarantee of really being anything. If it turns out to be a proven morph..The person breeding it will often name it!

I'd like to petition to rename the spotnose piebald the Bald Spot.
