    Introducing males

I am new to breeding and I was wondering if it is okay to introduce my male while he is going into shed.

Some males will breed while in shed but many won't, I wait until the male sheds.

I'm in no way an expert, however I would think its more advisable to wait until after his shed. Reasons being it would cause less stress on your male to wait. IMO I think it would possibly effect your pairing if he is stressed, I might be totally wrong but atleast you got my 2¢ to add to your piggy bank...lol

I dont pair males that are in shed. Most of the time they just sit there and ball up. I find it better to pair when the females are in shed though.

    Re: Introducing males

Just out of curiosity, how large/old should a male be before introducing him to a mature female? My female is a little aggressive, and I'm worried about trying to pair my male with her for the first time.

    Most people say 800 grams.

I always wait till they are done shedding. You could pair them if you really want to.

My breeding males are at 700ish grams and 900ish almost 1k.

I heard you could start breeding males at 500+ grams.
