    Herro ^.^

My new Pink Toe (Sandra TEE) says "herro!"....or "Oh Hai!!", whatever you think she's saying. I use "she" lightly, since the guy I got "her" from said "this couuuuld be a female...." heh....

What do you think Jeff? Not the best picture (waiting for my boyfriend to send me the BETTER one I took ) Is "she" looking like a she?

"She's" already shot poo at me last night (which scared the pee out of me at the moment lol!), although has acted "normally" before and since then. I'm going to take it slow with her, don't want her stressed but do want her to be a little more social. Thanks for looking

Edit: Also notice in the last pic, she has her foot under her fangs! That's how they clean them right? I thought it was adorable, a literal "foot in mouth" haha

She is VERY pretty!!! My Avicularia avicularia is not the nicest T by any means sadly but she is an AWESOME eater

I can not tell by your pic if it is a male or female It appears to have nice wide spaced book lungs but I am not sure. You need a better and closer pic if you can, sorry It's not the eaisest thing to try and do though I know.

And yes they clean themselves with their fangs, perfectly normal and cute

Thanks! I will work on better pics once she/he settles in some more. She was cleaning herself with her fangs like crazy last night it was so adorable, despite the surprisingly large fangs lol. Since the only sign of defense I've seen from her was shooting poo, do you think she has a change of warming up?

It's hard to say because T's do not really get used to being handled working with them regularly like snakes do. That was one of the first things I learned when I first got into them. From dealing with snakes so much I just figured the more I worked in it's space and such, and with them the more accostumed they would become with me (like snakes) but it does not really work that way with tarantulas. I've also seen T's become more defensive once they settle in (defending it's territory). So you kind of just have to watch for any warning signs and wait and see

Nice looking he/she avic, they are a neat T for sure. Like Jeff said, T's don't really 'tame' down like reptiles, but I've noticed my female smithi can be a little nervous/skittish in her kritter keeper, but settles down once she's out...depends on the spider i suppose....
