how long are they good for?

So I have a bag of 50 frozen hoppers I only have 1 ball python and feed it once a week so in theory they should last me about a year. so my question is do they expire or lose nutrition after a while or would they last me the whole year with no problem?

You have to figure, probably pretty soon you'll be feeding more than one hopper a week...

To answer your question though, I've heard rats are good for about a year in the freezer.

Your BP should long outgrow those hoppers WAY before you run out of them.

To answer the question though, I believe they will usually hold for about 6 months fairly well. That's what I have heard anyways. I'm sure someone else has more experience than myself, I usually feed live but keep a very small supply on hand just in case.

Edit: She beat me too it .. haha

Yeah I have heard anywhere from 6 months to a year. I buy mine in bulk, lasting about 10 months each time and my snakes seem healthy enough.

Just make sure they are packaged well, because if they get freezer burn your snake may not want them. I think they develop an off smell/taste or something.

Mine never last much more than a month anyhow.... I really don't know how long they will last...

If they are in the correct freezer bags they are usually good for 6 months or so , but I dont go much past that time frame
