    Cool New Cresties (Major DUW)

These guys are just super addictive. I ended up doubling my crested gecko collection today and picked up these guys from a local breeder. The second one is the only one of the group that she produced, but they are all amazing.

The first two aren't named yet.

This one I promised not to breed if I ever decide to breed cresties. He doesn't have great crests, but he's super pretty.

I don't know the sex on this one, but it's still amazing to look at.

And last but not least, Ivan, a big beautiful male.

And my setup. I know Ivan's cage needs some more fake plants. It had my 10g female in there before and those plants were enough to support/hide her. Ivan is quite a bit bigger which means I need to change a few things for him.

cresteds are criminally underrated in my opinion. thanks for all the pictures. out of idle curiosity, why wouldn't you breed that first one?

It's really hard to capture, but if you see him in person you can see that his head structure is really lacking. He has very small crests which is not a desired quality when breeding, but is colors make him a great display animal. My smallest crestie is less than half his size and it has bigger crests. Once they've had more time to settle in I'll see if I can get a good picture to show how small his ridges are.

Congrats on all the new cresties! They are a very addicting species. Your new big male has some great looking structure. Does he fire up black?

    Thanks!

I was told he fires up black and he was really dark when I picked I got him. I think I might do some breeding with him if the second gecko turns out to be female.

Lol, I definitely will, but that's going to be a few years down the road. All of my other ones are tiny compared to Ivan.
