    Exclamation feeding problem

    i tried to feed my BP today and she struck the rat a dozen times but could not get it LIVE but anyway is the rat too big? its a large rat and she is about 1300G im trying to fatten her up. what should i do?

    Okay, what size was the rat? How long have you had her? How many meals has she had with you? What was she eating prior to your ownership?

    If it was infact a large rat it was probably to large, the largest I feed my adult females is small or medium rats. 1300 grams I would offer a small

    Yup, a pet rat. They are very social and intelligent creatures. Not at all like a hamster, gerbil or mouse. More like a dog or cat and after proper socialization they can be little box trained and allowed free roam of the house for a few hours each day.
