will a female pied breed at 2 years

has anyone heard that female pied take longer to breed i have a 2 year old female that is 1300g that i am going to try to breed later this season i have heard that it my take 5 years for her to take what age has your female gone for you

I think people mainly base breeding on weight, not age. But usually by 2 years females are generally breeding size.

18 months you can have a female breeding but i ve had better luck with girls 3 years or older

They will go when they are ready. Weight and age are general guidelines.

My 2008 female pied was happy to lock with my black pastel all last winter at 1400 grams, but she never ovulated. I don't think that's a pied thing---I think it's a young, smallish female thing. Some girls will produce eggs at 1300 grams and 2 years, but you're just much more likely to get eggs out of either a 1300 gram 3 year-old, or a 1700 gram 2 year-old.

I think the whole "pied's grow slower" thing is just another over blown internet rumor from people who had hard times getting a few females to eat.
I know people with pied female that hit 2000 grams at 2 years old, not much difference than any other ball python that eats well.
