    Late Season Continues

We are having an exceptionally late season this year. All of my females are running way behind schedule.

This female just ovulated last night, she is always later than my other girls. I have had her eggs pip around Thanksgiving in the past and now she is ovulating around turkey day

Here is a fire girl, this is her first clutch and she dropped us 5 pearlie whites this morning

Hope every ones season is rolling along.

Why is it running so late Raul?

Do you do the typical pairing schedule of late Fall to early Spring?

    Longer?

The first girl is a het albino paired with an albino male and the fire girl on eggs has been paired with a black pastel het pied.

Just about everyone here on the west coast is experiencing late clutches this year. I imagine it has to do with the weather and late seasonal changes.

I watch my females and when they show breeding signs I pair then regardless of what time of year it is. All my animals are kept in the exact same conditions yet some of my females cycle early and some late?.

Years ago I learned to follow Tracy Barkers advice which is pay more attention to what your females are telling you than the date on the calendar. Doesn't matter of its July or January, if they are telling me they are ready, I pair them
