No a vet is not needed. A little more info please... has the baby partially shed or started and has not shed at all. If you have a partial shed and there is flaking bit and bobs around try soaking her for 20 min in 84-7ºF water for 10 to 20 min and then give her something to rub against (folded cardboard or a textured hide...) and let her be for a bit and see if she gets it off her self.
If there is no sign of shed yet it may not have occured yet and you just need to wait and keep the humidity correct or a touch higher. (60-70%) it will happen.

    Re: shed not coming off.

You need to give your snake a little more time here and please don't pull off any more of the skin. Just make sure your humidity is up and wait a few days.

How many threads are you going to start on this? How many times are you going to ignore good advice and continue to stress out your snake with your obsessive behavior?

You need to leave that animal alone. You aren't helping him. All you are doing is making a mess out of this.

Get involved in a good book for the next week and let that snake do it's thing on it's own.

No need to get huffy. Skiploder is just trying to help. You have made enough threads about this asking the same questions. Take a deep breath and chill. Let the snake do this shedding by itself and see what happens. If the shed is stuck, then you can take action.
