Sometimes "its to good to be true" is WRONG!!

Hi guys, so recently on Fauna I saw an add for some DIRT CHEAP boas. Im talking a moonglow for $575, and two hypo het moons for $150 a piece (male and female)(for you ball python ppl the moonglows sell for somewhere around $1500 and so you can imagine what the hets are worth!). He also had listed a few other things like an albino motley and hypo motley het albino. Anyway the story goes like this, he was leaving for vegas today (thursday) and posted the ad on tuesday. He wanted some extra cash for the trip so he decided to dump a few boas. Sound to good to be true!?!? I thought so, but figured what the heck, its only a 2 and a half hour drive up there, so last night at 10 (I had to work late) I headed up to near chicago (I live in Indianapolis).

By the time that I got there someone had driven up from Kentucky to get the moonglow, and I picked up an albino motley for $200, AND a VERY exceptional one at that!!!! (last year they were going for $1500 or so, and this year around $1000)

All her health seems to be in good order, I found one TINY mite in her back and will proceed to get her enclosure sprayed with PAM, but other than that she is extremely healthy and alert! I will try to get some pics when I can (I need a light booth so you can see her pattern).

I forgot to add I got in last night at 4 am but it was TOTALLY worth it!

I am soo happy right now!!!

    Congrats!

Sometimes people just price things to sell quick because they really need/want money. I hope she true is in good health and stays that way for you.

My thoughts are maybe the guy was moving and wasn't able to keep them or was tired of feeding and taking care of them and just wanted out of the hobby

    But congrats that's awesome!
