If you want a display type enclosure I would recommend it. The only thing that I don't like about them is on the bottom it has "feet," so you have to tape your flexwatt to the enclosure. If you were to get more and stack them you wouldn't have to do this except for the bottom one. On the top of the enclosure there are spots where these "feet" fit in. Here are some pics to explain what I mean.

I don't have a light on mine. I actually have that screen covered with foil. I taped the flexwatt to the bottom of the enclosure. You can use your UTH, just get some foil tape and tape it to the bottom.

Personally I would recommend a 36. Most care sheets recommend at least 36 inches, especially if the ball is a female.

Also, if you do want to get a light I'm sure that you can find one that will fit from Walmart that is cheaper than the ones NPI sells. The light would come in handy for cleaning purposes.

I honestly have no idea what gender he his, im assuming hes a male because of the long tail. i'm planning on getting more snakes when we have the room so i found them and thay are alot cheaper than some of the other cages i found.

I'm not too worried about the light as of right now. so im guessing the two vents one the side are enough ventilation? and you can order them with locks right? Sorry about all the questions i just like to know before i go ordering.

I think the holes on the sides are enough, and where the glass slides there are spaces that allow ventilation as well. I actually covered half of the sides with tape to help with heat and humidity.

I'm not sure about the locks, I'd have to check the site again.

It's funny that you ask that, I had a milk snake in there that escaped. There is a gap about 1/4" in-between the glass in the middle where the two pieces of glass overlap. I have no idea how the snake squeezed through there, but it did. I ended up finding the snake a couple hours later in a closet. I still can't believe I found it. I don't think that any size ball python would escape though.
