    Weight gain

So is there any way for my bp to gain weight without upping the size of his rats? is it alright to feed him 2 small rats a week rather than one? or is it just going to take some time for him to gain it?

As long as the combined weight of the rodents is appropriate for the BP's size (10-15% of its body weight) than you can absolutely feed multiples.

It's hard to find large ASF where I am, so I feed 3 or 4 small ASF every week. For my Bp's that are on Norway Rats I find the medium and large rats can make them nervous so I feed multiple smalls.

    Cheers.

P.s. You don't want to force weight gain, it's very unhealthy for the snake. Feed the 10% every 5 days if you want to see gains but try not to over feed them.

x2 exactly what i would have said.
each snake is different. Some pack the weight on like piggies and others take time. Just dont overfeed and be patient.

Snakes grow at different rates. Some will reach 1000g+ in their first year and some will be much smaller even when each are fed at the same time and the same prey items. They're individuals.

I would stick him on a 5 day if you want, but I wouldn't feed any more frequent than that.

Why don't you want him to move up to medium rats?
