Decorations!!!
So, I've been looking through dozens of sites for decorations, but nothing interesting to be found. My question is, fish? Are fish tank decorations a possibility? I asked the guy at my local Petco, he said they are coated with a waterproofing agent that is harmful to snakes, which I found to be strange. (on a side note he was only 18-19 years old and newly hired). But yea, is this true?
and conformation would be helpful

I've never heard of such a thing. I have used fake driftwood designed for use in aquariums in my snake enclosures for years with no ill effects.

Re: Decorations!!!
I've never heard that. I've used "fish" decorations before, with no harm, even to a tiny baby corn snake.
The thing you want to REALLY watch out for when looking at fish decorations is ANY openings in the product. If that cool looking "Roman arch" is hollow with the bottom open, you could lose your snake inside it and have a heck of a time getting it out again. So check to be sure the bottoms are solid and there are no holes anywhere.

I've used fish decor with no ill effects. I second needing to check for openings because I've had more than one snake get into things I didn't want them in...and burying the decor in the substrate doesn't seem to cut it.

I also add a caution with openings closed holes ones completely surrounded by plastic unless they are massive should be avoided. Snakes sometimes get stuck if the have eaten a meal trying to fit though small openings. They can contort massively but swallowed rats not so much. I either block them closed (I use tons of hot melt personally) I usually find something to stuff in and stick it with hot melt glue.
