    How many locks per season?

So I started intoducing my pairs Oct 1st and since then one of my females has locked 7 times from then until now with 3 different males. Another has locked 4 times and Ive witnessed no locks with my other females. I think I only seen 4 locks total last year. I realize that the more locks means a better chance of becoming gravid but should I slow down a little since its still so early? Just out of curiosity how many times average per season do your females lock up that you catch? Whats the most for instance?

Nobody knows how many times their females lock up during breeding season on avg? I can guess that it varies but what is the most you have ever had for a single female?

In my experience one lock every few weeks to a month is enough. Once I see a female breeding I don't even introduce a male again for three weeks. Typically my females will lock approx 6 to 8 times over the course of my breeding season (Nov - Apr).

Ok, thanks Dave thats what I was looking to hear. I think maybe I should start spacing it out a little now. I was just trying to decide if it was necessary for them to lock so many times especially this far away from ovulation.
