Reptile Basics 16 tub hatchling rack or Animal plastics?
Rbi 16 tub hatchling rack or animal plastics economy 39 tub sterilite hatchling rack. Seems like you get double for the money with ap but the sides are semi open. Thanks guys

Hatchling racks are easier to heat considering the size of the tubs so I wouldnt worry about the open sides. If I can get twice as many for the money with AP I would go with them. Both company's have great reputations and make quality racks!

tubs and shipping are included in the price for the RBI rack. must be purchased separately for animal plastics.
with that said i would still go with animal plastics but only because i have some of there racks and love them. i have no experience with RBI racks. boaphile is another option for you.
he includes heat tubs and shipping in his price as well. this model is 380 shipped with heat and 21 tubs.

compare needs with cost and affordability and i feel you would be happy with any of the 3.

I wouldn't get either of those. I would call AP and see if they will make you a rack that will fit the Vision hatchling tubs. Those tubs are much better than the sterilites.

I have some of the 16 bin Reptile Basic racks. Good product and Reptile Basics is a great company to do business with. The 16 bin comes with everything except a thermostat.

Does the Reptile Basics have back heat or belly? I'm just curious cause I have a reptile basics rack (I beleive they're 15qt iris tubs, or something close to that) but its older and has back heat. I love it, just wish it had belly I guess... I wouldn't know for sure, all I know is the juvi/year olds that are in there are either picky eaters or it has something to do with the back heat.
The one I have has the 11in. flexwatt that runs up the whole back wall.

It has back heat. For babies, I think back heat works best because the six quart tubs are so small the back heat does a better job at creating a heat gradient from front to back in the tub.
I'm not sure, but I think you can get the Reptile Basics rack with belly heat. Give Rich a call, I'm sure he would be more than willing to talk to you.
The larger racks come with either back or belly heat.

I have to agree with J.Vandegrift . I had AP make a v-18 (vision hatchling tubs) rack with flexwatt belly heat and I love the results I have gotten. The tub is long enough to still have a heat gradient and a hotspot. I also use some RBI 28qt tub racks and have really liked them. I think you really can't go wrong with either company or product. I think it really depends on your goals/plans. If you anticipate needing more than 16tubs, go with AP. If 16 is all you need, RBI may be the simplest as the price includes shipping and the tubs. When I ordered my V-18 tubs, I was aggravated at how much shipping was on the tubs alone. Plus I paid shipping on the rack through AP.

I have been looking at the boaphile 25 tub hatchling rack.
