Green Tree Pythons.
I had a quick question about Green Tree Pythons. I'm thinking about getting a couple just as pets and I've been reading about how to care for them but I was wondering if I could house two of them together.

To the best of my knowledge without a lot of experience you shouldn't house any species of snake in pairs.
1.0 Green Tree Python
1.0 Kenyan Sand Boa

Ok thanks. I knew that was the case with ball pythons, just wasn't sure about GTP's and none of the care sheets I have found discussed it one way or the other.

It's advised not to house any snakes of any species together, or most reptiles if not all for that matter. Better to know who did what and when.

No you should not. I owned 2 of them and like everyone else said they should be housed separate.

I'm looking to sell mine, the girlfriend and I are splitting up, and though its her snake, she's intimidated by the little gal. So she's asked me to take her as well. She's used to people as far as a Biak Green Tree Python goes. I handle her daily, and love her to death. I just don't have the desire to care for two snakes.

Saw your post, Iaunu, and that's a gorgeous GTP. Don't have the funds though, or I might consider it ... even though I'm focusing more on a blue line so I'm not sure how it'd fit in.

I've seen pairs housed together. But I wouldn't recommend it to someone unless they really knew what they were doing.
