Best Friends

Kira (dog) and Ashhamsterly (rat) love being together. I was finishing the rat rack and had the bin Ash was in on top of Kira's crate. The crate door is open, but Kira went and laid down so she could be by the rats and Ash found her. They do this every night. We call Ash, Kira's rat. Ash will have a place in our home forever.

Our dog goes down when we clean tubs. She has become out expert loose rat tracker. She will sniff them out like its her job lol. But if it wasn't for her there's a lot we never would have found that would have ended up in traps.

No, Ash just comes in when we are home and can watch her. Our place is not rat proof and it would be dangerous to leave her out with all the wires and my opossum.

Kira loves to "help" me feed rats in the afternoon. She thinks they are all her buddy and eventually, they will be. I have one breeder female that wants Kira dead though.

Ash would much rather be out with us and Kira than in with her rat buddies.
