    4-6 week old rat pictures?

I started my rat breeding a few months back. After spending $50 every 3-5 days I figured might as well... My issue is I really dont keep track of ages and such... But It would be nice to know their starting size for breeding.

Ok, I just came up with 4-6 weeks from some searching. But Ihave found that alot of the information is controversial. Alot of what I have read and been told. I can clearly see my rats arent doing.

As far as age they are sexually mature at 4 weeks old however mature does not mean ready or in optimum shape to do so.

I wait for female to be between 200 grams to 250 grams and for males I just make sure they are about the same size as the females.

I totally agree what Deborah does. 200 grams to 250 grams is perfect time to start them if you strt them to early you will have issues and very small litters ...

Whats the approximate age for a 200+ gram rat?
