    3 clutch Incubator?

    Hi everyone,

This is our first season breeding Ball Pythons and we will have 3 females breeding (Spider, Woma, and Normal). I was wondering what type of incubator would be recommended for only 3 clutches this year?

    Thanks!

The one you make is always your best bet, and I would recommend something you can grown into.

    Re: 3 clutch Incubator?

Unless you are going to only do a few clutches a year, I recommend building something that will hold alot more than what you can do next year... I only produced 5 clutches this year and @ capacity my incubator will hold about 20 clutches... It is way cheaper to build one as well

I agree with jjmitchell I'm building an incubator now but will build a bigger one when I expand my collection. The cost will only range around 150 if you build. You can get a broken freezer for free and all you need is heat tape, thermostat, and fans.

Thanks for the responses. Does anyone have any links to "How To's" on building an incubator.

I would build your own as well. It's super easy.

    All you need:
    A fridge
    Some flexwatt
    Computer fan
Old cell phone charger (to wire the computer fan)
    Thermostat

Here is a picture of mine, it can hold 12 clutches

I made my own out of a small broken office refridgerator. We only had two clutches this past year and are expecting 4 this year but our incubator holds 6. And last year our first clutch had hatched before the second was even laid even though both girls were bred the same days!! Was very humerous for us....
