Congrats! I think that ASF's are a lot easier. I had a heck of the time establishing my mice. They are producing like crazy now though

As far as I know, Rhasputin knows the most about mouse genetics. Most of them mice I have are hers or from people she knows. She teaches me everything lol
The spotted ones look like Tri colors to me
the gray with weird coat looks like a blue rex
Blacks with tan bellies are called black tans
I *think* that's all correct??

Your 'calicos' are tri colours. A tru calico mouse is extremely rare, I've only seen 2-3 in photos!
The ruby eyes just indicate what type of C-dilute they have. Research C-dilutes in mice and you'll find that some cause ruby eyes, and others do not.
In tri colours it is a combination of 3 genes. The piebald gene (most common, other spotting genes work as well), the splashed gene, and a C-dilute gene. Without a C-dilute, the splashed gene will not show up!

Yep. The ones you have with white, dilute (tannish colour in your case) and base colour (black in your case), are tri colours.
The ones with dilute, and base colour with no white, are splashed!
