My first crestie!
I went to the MA Reptile Expo in Rockland and SWORE I wouldn't get anything because I've been so broke lately from lack of overtime at work but....as some people know....that didn't turn out to be the case. I got a killer deal on this cute as heck crestie that I couldn't pass up. Plus...rats didn't cost as much as I expected....so...why not right?
No name yet, two of the pictures are really flushed out from the flash since it was dark after I got home. He/she is tiny! And an orange-y color...she has a little shed stuck to her in the first pic, but it came off after a nice misting. I got her from Valerie of Off The Wall Geckos. She was such a sweetheart and really seemed to love her animals

I love him/her! I can't wait to watch it grow up...

I have been debating on whether to get one for a little bit now because i find that they make nicer "display" type animals, where you can setup a nice enclosure for them and just enjoy the look. If i didn’t get that hypo yesterday i was most likely going to leave that show with either a crestie or the dart frogs. which the dart frogs are on my list of things to get next
But something tells me It maybe a crestie that i get next. not that my arm would have to be twisted that hard but my GF really liked those.. mainly because it doesnt have too eat rodents or bugs.
ohh and a good name for your leopard gecko "Freckles"

I saw this post while I was at work but couldn't view the pictures for some reason. Your new addition looks like a little patternless or bi-color. I can't tell exactly from the pictures. You will be surprised how much they change with age, you may even end up with an amazing red. Almost all reds start off as a rusty brown/orange/red color.
Either way, crested geckos are an amazing species. They are the easiest and most cost effective pet reptile out there. I got my first one at the Phoenix reptile show last year in November, I now have 12. You've got to love the personalities on these things! I know what you mean about not being sure why it took so long to get one.
Congratulations.
