    Male refusing food.

My male pos. Fire has locked up with two females so far, he refused his food the last time it was offered. Should I keep him seperated until he eats? I don't want him to breed himself to death. Thank you for any responses. I am concerned about him. I know that they can go for several months without eating, however with it being breeding season, I am concerned.

Ive had males go 4+ months in breeding season. For this reason alone is why i never use small males to breed. How big is your snake? If he is healthy, I dont see a problem in keep breeding him. If he is a small younger breeder then i would suggest stopping. But you dont have to. Feeding them during breeding season helps but isnt a must. Watch his weight. Make sure he doesnt drop too much and you're ok.

If your talking about the snake in your gallery I don't see it being a fire, good looking banded snake but it doesn't look like a fire to me.
