So I have this albino ball python that I got last month and its been a very picky eater, but its been eating every week except last week. Here is my story. The first feeding, I used the same thawing technique with all my other f/t eaters and although the albino bit the f/t mouse and coiled it, he didnt eat it even though I left him alone for an hour or so. This was on a wednesday. On friday, I used the same techinque, same size mouse and this time he ate it. This same thing has been going on for three weeks, coils food up but doesnt eat on wednesdays, but eats on fridays. However, on the third week instead of a hopper mice, I had to feed him an adult mice because I ran out of hoppers and the adult mice was pretty small and was the same girth as the albino. Now on the fourth week, wednesday he didn't eat, instead he ignores the mice and he did the same thing again on Friday. Why is he doing this? Is this normal? My husbandry is fine, 90-92 degrees on warm spot 77-80 ambient during the day. And I put these rodents in hot tap water for 20-30 minutes long just to be sure that they are fully thawed. I have a temp gun and it reads 100 degrees on the food. It's not really accurate so it could be off by a few degrees.
