What does a freon look like on a mini fridge?

So I've been hearing this word and seeing this word on the diy incubators and a person on youtube. I'm almost finished building my incubator, all I need is heat cable and thermostat, but before I get that I want to know what this freon looks like and see if I did take it out. I gutted my broken mini fridge without knowing whats what. Can anyone tell me what the freon looks like. I took out this black engine looking thing with all the wires hooked up to it and took out the wire that went into the freezer part of the fridge.

freon is the pressurized gas and oil mixture contained within the lines of the fridge. its also in the compressor. its against the law to cut and release it to the atmosphere and must be reclaimed by a professional. when i got my mini fridge all the gas had already escaped hence why it was free and not working...lol.
i knew this because of the hole in the line with an oil puddle beneath it...lol

A room full of empty racks and thermostats that have been unplugged.

Freon is a gas.....its what makes the freezer freeze, or keeps the air cool in an air conditioner. If you removed the motor and everything from the underside of the frides/freezer, you already got rid of it. If you didn't, and are thinking about getting rid of the motor, make sure you take it to a fridge/freezer shop.....it is harmful if removed into the atmosphere.

I dont think there is freon in the refridgerator because I got it for free and the person I got it from said that the reason why it broke was something that had to do with the freon. I didn't do any of the releasing. I got this mini fridge because it was free and broken by the person I got it from.

If the compressor has been removed then the freon is gone.
