Incubator questions

I'm going to build a incubator soon so I don't have to go buy one in the future and I just have a few questions:

1. Where would the thermostat and the thermometer probe go? (I've looked through other threads and many say in the egg tub or outside)
2. Do you air out the tubs?
3. By placing the thermostat probe in the tub, how would you keep it in the same place? (People who air out the tubs and keep thermostat probe in tub should answer this question)
4. At what temperatures and humidity would you need for the egg tub?

Never put the t-stat probe in the tub. With multiple clutches you will have some variances in eggs that could cause major problems.

Probe needs to be on a shelf towards the bottom, that's on you to figure out exact spot.

No need to air the tubs out at all till last week of incubation.

Egg tub for me as followed

I don't, holes mean you will lose humidity.

In my case the probe is secured to the inside of the lid in the dummy tub placed in the middle

4. At what temperatures and humidity would you need for the egg tub?

A lot of people incubate between 88 and 92, I incubate at 87/89, humidity needs to be as close as possible to 100%
