Future Breeding projects = P
I havent begun yet, but I thought Id share my plans with you guys and see what you thought = P Keep in mind that this timeline is assuming I get all of these snakes with time to get them to the proper age and weight, and knowing luck and what not I may not get all the morphs and genders I want, but hey these are plans right? Its not going to go just the way I think it will. Do you guys have any ideas for any other pairings I may want to do? Im all about making these plans WAY in advance so im well prepared for when I can make them happen.
First Season-My female Normal will be 18 months and hopefully 1500G XD Male BB will be 7 Months and I think he'll be a fine weight by then. If I get him between Dec. and Feb. he should be old enough.
------------
Normal X BumbleBee
Second Season-If I get my Female pastel at the same time as my bumblebee she should be ready and up to weight by the following season. I would also be purchasing a male and female fire, and start gearing them up for the following season. Also with any luck I will get male and female Killer Bees from the pastel clutch
---------------
Normal X BumbleBee
Pastel X BumbleBee
Third Season-Trusting everyone is at a good weight and age by this point I would hope and pray for male and female Black eyed Luecistics.
-------------
Normal X BumbleBee
Pastel X BumbleBee
KillerBee X KillerBee
Fire X Fire
Fourth Season-Trusting everyone is the correct age, and weight this is how I would pair them. If I got a nice female Killerbee I might try to breed it to the fire male and see what I got, but those are my plans for the next few years.
--------------
Normal X BumbleBee
Pastel X BumbleBee
KillerBee X KillerBee
Fire X Fire
Black Eyed Lucy X Black Eyed Lucy

Not trying to belittle what you are doing at all but just sharing my experience. I have quit making "plans" as they will change so many times before the next season. You will always have the problem feeders or not get what you need or you will find an amazing deal somewhere that you just have to buy and then will add it in to your plans.
All I can say is when your starting out, keep all the females you can.. It will help in the long run.
Best of luck in your future breeding endeavors.

Dually noted. Yeah I know what you mean, but Im a very organized person and dont really mind altering the plans ive made as new factors come into play. and trust me I dont plan on parting with any of the snakes im going to use as breeders. Theyre pets first breeders second. While I do intend to sell the majority of the hatchlings, theyre pets until I get rid of them as well. It wouldnt be so much a business venture as a hobby. Anyway, while I do have plans they are very flexible XDD

Re: Future Breeding projects = P
Well Im not so positive. About that one. My fiance and I entered this game with the intention of breeding both killer bee's and Blue eyed leucistics. We then discovered black eyed luecistics which we like a LOT more. So Killer bees and BEL are absolutely not changing. The pastel and bumblebee are necessary to get the killerbees, so those arent changing either. and the fires get me the BELs. So Theres really isnt much room to wiggle. But theres A LOT of room for new projects. So whatever I do from this point on is going to be what changes.

Your plans sound good. I would recommend getting your male a little bit sooner. Some may disagree, but it seems like I'm always waiting for my males to get the hang of things. I have a year and 1/2 old Pastel het pied that is still afraid of the girls. LOL. Some of my boys have bred sooner, but I usually don't get much out of them until they are 800+ grams.

You betcha, breed a killer bee with a black eyed leucy and every hatchling will be a firefly at least, the ones that pickup the spider gene too will be your fire bees! A very groovy pairing to say the least!
