    New to Breeding

Hey guys I'm new to breeding and I have a question. I have male and female lesser platty and they are both ready for breeding this season. I started dropping the temp to about 82 degrees during the day and 72 at night and shortened the "daylight" hours from 12 to 10 hours a day. She is eating like a madwoman but he has pretty much gone off feed altogether at this point. It's been a little over 2 weeks since I made the changes to the environment and so far I have introduced him into her habitat twice, both times for a period of 3 days. He has showed absolutely no interest in locking up with her so far. Am I doing something wrong or am I just being impatient lol? Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.

Keep pairing, it should happen soon, maybe they are just quick about it in the early morning hours

Its pretty early in the season. Keep pairing. Keep offering food regularly. If he is a first time breeder, it may take a few visits for him to get things going. Goodluck

Stay persistent, it will eventually happen. Like ImBooBy said, first time breeders take a while sometimes.

Should I pull the hide from the female's enclosure when I have them both in there?
