    New BP Feeding question..

Hi everyone I'm a new member and I was hoping to find some help. I recently went to the new york reptile expo in white plains new york last month. I've had a love for reptiles since I can remember. At the expo I picked up a beautiful normal female BP that I was told was about three months old, the breeder told she was eating live hopper mice and that in a couple of weeks I can try moving her to small adult (nothing huge) well I brought her home had the tub setup days before the expo with temp and humidity all in check put her in left her alone for about a week then fed her. Now the thing is the first feeding I couldnt find live hoppers anywhere so I picked up the smallest adult could find and she took it with no problem. a week after that I found a pretty cool pet store that actually has a great selection of mice from pinkies up to adults and the same for rats. so I picked to small adults from there and fed one to my snake, after she ate she was still looking for more food so I dropped the second mouse in and she took it no problem. I fed her last night and she took down a pretty large mouse on her own and it seems like she's still looking for more every time I enter her room she pokes her head out of her hide then starts sniffin sometimes with her neck in the S position. I pick her up no problem shes still very head shy but other than that not very aggressive at all. I want to start her a rat pups next feeding now my question is are the pups going to be big enough for her since she seems to have such a huge appetite? Should I feed her more than one every seven days or bump her up to a crawler rat? I dont have a scale yet to weigh her and I really dont know how to measure her, but she looks to be about 20 inches or more. I'm really sorry about rambling so much but I'm super excited and I really want to do the best for my new baby( her name is Khaleesi) thanks guys...

You'd be surprised what a snake can woof down their lil necks. I have a 2 month old BP who I picked up at an expo at the beginning of the month who weighed 68grams...she ate a rat pup in a matter of about 2 minutes after she killed it. I'd say with yours being older and eating like it has your snake is probably much larger than my girl is right now...and I think you'd be A-OK for feeding rat pups.
    My Critters:
    Balls:
    0.1 Pastel "Bellatrix"
    1.0 Pewter "Brian"
    0.1 Bumblebee "Betty"
    1.0 Ghost Mojave "Javier"
    0.1 Mojave het Ghost "Rogue"

    Mammals:
    1/2.0 Cat "Magellan"

    Other Reptiles:
    1.0 100% het albino Hognose
0.1 Fire Tiger Bearded Dragon "Cake"
    0.0.1 Sulcata "Boss/Bossie"

Pics with something to scale would help. As always, rats are better. I'd offer it a rat as big around or slightly larger than the fattest part of its body every 5 days for the first year or so.
