    What to do with this???

Yesterday my wife was at work and some lady came in and said her family had a yellow lined plated lizard with all the "stuff" for free because it bit her 15yr old son and now they are terrified of it. This thing is pretty darn docile. I don't know what you would have to do to get it to bite but even so, I don't see how it could be terrifying. I went to get it and now have it because I didn't want them to let it go wild or do what ever it is people do when they are tired of having "disposable" pets. Plus it came with a Zilla 40. So what do I do with thing? I'm not going to keep it as I am not fond of lizards too much and it wouldn't get the attention here it deserves. There is a reptile show here every month, can I take it there and try to give it away? I don't know if that would seem strange to the vendors. So really what do I do with it?

You could offer it on here for the price of shipping, letting people know it's a rescue etc.

You could find any local rescues that take in reptiles.

You could find any local(semi-local) reptile clubs/herping clubs and see if anyone wants it(enthusiasts will drive amazing distances to get a specimin they particularly would like to keep).

You could contact any seller/vender you trust and ask if they'd be interested in it.

You could sell it yourself either locally or via shipping.

Since they gave it to you, you're under no obligation to keep it forever. It's now in a responsible person's hands, and I'm certain there's folks out there that would leap at the opportunity to keep that particular lizard.

Re: What to do with this???

i like how when a person owns a cat/dog, and it bites them, the animal was "playing", but when a snake/lizard bites them, the animal was "trying to kill my face"
