    Well then...

    I can't tell if this is spreading or not because of the terrible lighting in my house. It looks like there's more, but... Here's a new photo of what I was informed was part of the "new" scales peeled off during a shed:

    It's a much better photo this time, so maybe I'm just seeing more of it.

    Looks like it is not really a problem if they rub too hard to get a shed off they can pull the new scales too. It is self correcting, and not something to worry about overly.
