My largest adult is a female about eight feet. She is Colombian. My smallest adult is a three foot male. He is Central American. Size depends on locale and how often you feed them and the size of their meals. If you want them to stay small, feed them smaller meals, or buy dwarf boas.

My male BCI is 6 years old and 8+ feet long. Good thing he's a big puppy because his feeding strikes are scary-fast!

My girl is 6 ft and a little over 4 lbs. Not sure on her age, she was a rescue and all they told me was that she was "young". We're guessing she's about a year and a half/two years old.

And I know what you mean xdeus, my girl's a doll until it comes to meal time. I don't even offer the rat to her anymore, I just throw it in her tub and let her do her own thing.

It's great when grams are no longer adequate, and you have to refer to your snakes weight in Pounds or Kilos....

Re: How Big is Your Red Tail Boa?

My 2.5-year-old female Colombian is just over 5ft. I keep her on a relatively slow feeding schedule.
My yearling female longicauda (dwarf subspecies) is in the 2-3ft range.

You're hearing different sizes because there are many different locales of "red tail" boas, all reaching different sizes.
