I did 3 days together 3 days apart and fed on the 2nd days apart. I offered her food the entire time. Sometimes she ate sometimes not. But it was a bit smaller meals than her usual as she got further along

As long as she eats feed her I only stop offering after they ovulate, most will stop eating at that time and if some do not I prefer not to add extra stress after ovulation.

    Re: breeding females and feeding

I feed my females up until they ovulate. Most females stop eating after ovulation.

I'm on my phone so I can't post pics but if u search for ovy or ovulation u will find pics. Her mid section will be obviously swollen but its hard to catch cuz it may last a few hours to two days

We all had the same questions at one point or another. About 2/3 down her body she will swell. Most people describe it as "it looks like she swallowed a small Nerf football", which it honestly does. That area also feels somewhat solid. This lasts around 24-48 hours but is usually easily missed. Although the people who observe their snakes quite frequently get to see this occurance .

I bought the kevin mccurley book the "complete ball python". It will teach you everything you need to know. Its a great book... will cost you $60 but you get 10x that in knowledge. Theres alot to know to keep everything tip top. and to have healthy snakes threw the process.
