Brown Spots on Super Black Pastels

Hi All. I was wondering if Super Black Pastels are all black as a babies, will they develop dark brown freckles on them as they get older? I see some pictures of the adults, and they have either white spots or dark brown spots on them. Can anybody confirm? Thanks!

Many are born with random light scales. They just get more noticeable as they get older because the scales (and therefore the spots) grow. They don't just develop though, they would be there from birth.
