    Feeding Schedule

Hey y'all! So currently I have two baby balls. Crawly took his first feeding on Friday, my new spider (who has yet to be named) took her last feeding Thursday. So my question is whether I should remain on a 7 day feeding schedule and feed them both Friday or should I do a 5 day schedule to try and get a little more weight on them and help them grow? I have seen people say 7 and some people say 5. What's best for babies?

Either is fine, I feed on 5 days until they are about 400-500 grams then switch to a 7 day schedule, but 7 days won't do much difference.

Really both schedules are perfectly fine. It's up to what's easier to you. I like to feed my young ones every 5 days til they reach 300-400 grams, and then every 7 days until they're about 800 grams. Then they go on a 10 day schedule if it's a male or I don't plan on breeding them, or stay on the 7 day schedule if it's a breeder female.

Both schedules will be great for them. If you're in no proverbial rush to grow them up, then you can do whatever you want whether it's 5 or 7 days

Right now there is no real rush to make them grow up any faster. I figure that neither will be breeding for the next two years or so. If I do get into breeding it will probably be with a couple older snakes and just wait for this pair to mature on their own time.

In that case I say feed once a week and have fun watching them grow.

They grow up too fast as it is, I still can't believe how big my little spider is now. He was only around 200g in March and now he's over 800g.

When I got my ball python I would feed it every week but when I switched to small rats a while back, I began feeding it bi-weekly. It seemed to be doing just fine and I'm now feeding it medium rats. It has still gained plenty of weight and I'm in no rush in making it grow.

Is it bad to feed it every 2 weeks?
