Mite Treatment Help!!
Long story short, my roommate bought a snake from a pet store and didn't realize until after he brought it home that it had mites. Although my snake is in a different room than theirs she has been around areas that the other snakes have been held around and now I am insanely paranoid that she is going to get them/has them too.
She has not been soaking, I have not seen any adults on her, and it's hard to tell if there are any crawling around her aspen. I haven't touched her this whole week because (if you've seen my other threads) I am trying to let her be in hopes that it will allow her to "destress" enough so that she can eat.
My roommate has known about the mites for about a week now and did not quarantine the snake or anything like that. After reading more on them and seeing how far they can travel and hide I'm freaking out (and very very upset as we all have tanks with screen tops).
What treatments have been effectively used without fatal results? Any and all advice/experiences would help. I think I'm going to treat my snake this weekend even if I don't see anything just to be safe. My whole apartment is carpeted and if all the snakes were touched by the person that had the snakes with the mites it's very likely they spread.
I've read everything from dish soap and baths, to mineral oil, to Frontline, to Provent-a-Mite, to Predatory Mites that feed off the Spider Mites. I just would like to hear what worked for some people and what didn't. Thank you!!!

PAM to treat everything except ur snake. Make ur its dry and aired out. Keep it away from ur snakes water. In addition to PAM I once used mite-off to use on my snakes. It's safe to use on them. I used a qtip soaked in mite-off and dabbed their eyes, face and heat pits cuz I saw mites hiding there. After a couple minutes u can flush the dead mites out. But PAM is crucial cuz it prevents the eggs from hatching which can lay dormant for quite some time.
A room full of empty racks and thermostats that have been unplugged.

Re: Mite Treatment Help!!
Prevent a mite and soak in yours in the bath while you wait for it to air out... Also the mite off I used when I got my first snake.. ( Pet store bought ) It seemed to help. But Prevent-a-mite and baths
