    T help please :(

So I went home for my break tonight and realized I bought crickets earlier to feed my A.Versi and apparently forgot to give them to him when I brought them home. So while I was there I opened his little "vial" (It's just a maybe 5 inch high plastic vial with a snap-cap on top with holes) and dumped a couple crickets in. He immediately went for one, I closed the vial and walked away. Well, I realized after he started to eat that there was still one little cricket left in the bag, so I reopened the vial and dumped it in, not really paying attention because he was eating I closed the lid. Before putting the vial back down to let him eat I realized he must have moved when I opened the lid again, and he had two of his little feet stuck under the cap! So I lifted the cap and he freed himself, but now he's not using those feet to walk, and he seems uninterested in the crickets now that I've crippled the poor thing. It really was only the tip of his feet that got caught, and (I think?) they regenerate when needed right? I'm just worried about the little buggar, I feel like I've been doing really well with him for my first T up until this point. He's only about the size of a nickel from foot to foot. Is he going to be okay? I won't be home until tomorrow afternoon from work to check on him

As long as there is no fluid leaking he should be fine. Yes they can regenerate limbs if need be. Use this as a learning experience so it does not happen again. I still make avoidable mistakes myself once in awhile. Sadly it happens some times

I checked him out (from inside his home) for about 10 minutes and the only thing out of the ordinary was he was not using those two feet to walk, he just kept them slightly lifted. Should I go back tonight to check on him tonight? I will definitely learn from this, I need to pay more attention when closing that damn lid. Poor critter, I feel horrible

I would check on him personally but there is not much you can do when this happens. Tarantulas are very resilient, he should be just fine. Make sure it has fluids to drink

Definitely, I trickle water down the sides of his vial every 2-3 days or so. What would it mean if there were fluids coming from his feet? Is that really bad? I realize there's not much I can do either way. I will check on him at 11 tonight, I feel horrible.

If fluids were leaking from an injury then yes that is bad!! It is hemoglaph (not sure of spelling, on my phone). It is like us bleeding...

I didn't see any fluids, but what do I do if he's "bleeding" when I check on him tonight? I'm really nervous I hurt him, even though it was just the very tip of his feet

This is a late reply but I don't know exactly what to do if it does not stop on it's own as I have never experienced that myself. I think I have read about people using some sort of glue to clot and stop it from leaking out. I want to say super glue but then I think if the strong fumes so I could be wrong in what I think I remember I would have to look into it more to be confident with an answer. If you did not see anything leaking I doubt you will. You probably just hurt or injured the parts of the legs that were smashed with the lid.

I checked him last night after I got home and again this morning, he appears fine right now, even ate one cricket. No fluids from what I can see. I guess if he's injured enough he'll drop those legs right?

He could amputate the legs it's self if it wanted, just not use them or whatever. If it ate that soon then the injury can't be bothering it to badly
