    Chance, our rescued "Nicaraguan"

I got this cute shot of Chance, and realized that I hadn't posted anything about him on BPnet yet. Figured I'd fix that

My partner and I adopted Chance from a guy who'd rescued him and brought him back up to health. He'd had seriously bad mites and mouth rot. Chance still has a slightly lumpy face due to the mouth rot that makes him whistle when he breathes occasionally (which is honestly pretty adorable. No signs of RI, its just because of the damage from the rot). When we got Chance, we were told he was a fully grown male Nicaraguan, approximately 4 years old. Considering that he's now getting in over 6', we're pretty certain he's not pure Nic, and possibly not male, lol. I've got a friend who'll probe him for us next time we visit. Doesn't bother me either way, he's a big old baby. Super sweet and cuddly, never had a problem feeding, and the neighbor kids love him, lol.

He's also heading into a shed, if he looks a little wrinkly in the pic XD

He / she looks great. Great job on the rescue. I'm betting he will turn out to be a she, but you never know.

Thanks guys We weren't the ones that rescued Chance, we just adopted him from the guy who actually rescued him.

Once he's shed, I'm planning to get a shot of all of his sheds lined up together XD We've had him for maaaybe 5 months now, and this will be his third shed with us, lol. Its been pretty amusing, getting him "full grown" and then he immediately went into a growth spurt. Guess that means he likes us?

And here's Chance on my partner, for a size reference:
