    Drinking problem?

I have noticed that when my ball python drinks its water it will submerge its head and start blowing bubbles through its nose. Is there a reason it does this or does my snake just not realize it can't breathe underwater or something?

I'm sorry, this post just made my day.

I wouldn't worry unless you've noticed anything else, like the BP making noises when it breathes, or having mucus around its nose and mouth.

    Re: Drinking problem?

It starts making wheezing noises for a little while after doing it. I'm not sure if it is trying to clear something out or if it has just inhaled water for no other reason than because it can lol

Well, one would wheeze a bit after such activity.

From what I know this is totally normal snake behavior.

EDIT: If there are no other symptoms than mild wheezing for a short time after doing this, I wouldn't worry about it. As long as he's not wheezing at other times, or having any other issues.

Awesome! Sounds good to me. I wonder why they do that...
