How do you make yourself leave them alone?
I got my first "just mine" snake yesterday, a fairly aggressive little female normal ball, and I've already had to put a towel over her tub to keep myself from checking on her all the time XD
I don't know how I'm going to make it through a week of this, lol. I've already cleaned and vacuumed most of my room, along with the rat room (and cleaned all but the most annoying cage, which is whats getting done next). At least I've still got my 5 fish tanks to take care of as well, and I'm sure I can find some more stuff to reorganize, haha.

The way I see it, I will own this snake for the next 20-30 years, give or take. One week alone to de-stress and adjust doesn't sound too bad lol. Congrats, and good luck!

I know what you mean! Get the same feeling every time I get a new herp. Not sure what I'm gonna do when I go on a spending spree next August with the money I'm saving up for that purpose!
Good luck with that!

I go against the grain, and hold mine whenever I feel like it - even in the first week.
Of course, I keep Colubrids, so they might be a bit more forgiving than Balls.
