Things went bad then turned great!

Alright so the pastel we were suppose to buy today ended up not going good. The guy never answered his phone today. So upset I got on Craigslist and the second posting down was for a 3 month old Ball python. I clicked the link and looked at the picture. The bp looks nothing color wise to a normal bp imo. The woman was asking $50 OBO. I told her I had to drive about 90 miles round trip and threw out a crazy lo ball offer of $25. She said yes!!!! We went and picked him up and on the way home my fiance held him the whole way home and he was all over exploring and ended up around her neck where he stayed the rest of the way home. I did stop and get him a hopper because saturday is his day to eat and she didnt feed him last week because she forgot! LOL. Got home put him in a feeder tank dropped the hopper in and he struck instantly! Wish I would have gotten 2 but he will just have to wait until next week. Anyway he is now in his new home and already drank water and is all over the tank checking stuff out. My question is what kind of bp do I have??? He has orange in him and a little yellow.

The one on the right (new one?) totally looks like pastel, check his eyes - if they're green he's most likely a pastel...awesome deal btw!

That's without a doubt a Pastel. Nice one too. Cross your fingers it's a female. But excellent deal, either way.

If anything special, probably a pastel, but keep in mind that it could also just be a fresh shed off a normal BP.

If it has green eyes, a clear belly, it's a pastel

Looks like a pastel to me. I can only see a little bit of its belly, but it looks clear. Can you post belly and head shots?

Make sure and keep it away from your snake. Quarentine is your friend!

In the picture, left looks like normal, right looks pastel. It would take some more pictures and check it's eyes against the normals to see if they look green or brown? Make sure of the sex too.

    Nice find.

If that snake on the left is yours, you've already blown quarentine. Watch them both veerrry carefully as well as any others in your collection.

But that really is a super snake! Certainly looks pastel to me, so $25 was an awesome steal.
