Putting sides on a rack.
I'd love some thoughts on whether I should add sides to my rack. I'm thinking it will help to hold in the warmth and humidity.

rigid insulation foam is what i'm using to make almost a snake box hold in heat for all my snakes!

sides will help hold in the heat and humidity and it will also offer the snakes alittle more security.

Ya before I had a snake room I bought a sheet of insulation and just cut it to for the sides, back and top and bottom. Worked pretty good
A room full of empty racks and thermostats that have been unplugged.

Sides wont do anything for humidity. Humidity in tub is reflected by ambient RH in the room.
Adding sides may help reduce air drafts over the probe/heat tape causing cool downs. If room is heated it 77+ no need for sides on the rack. All comes down to room temps, if cold adding sides may help bump temps 1-3F

Thanks for all the tips. The more I think about it, the more I plan on doing it before the cold weather hits. That particular room tends to get a little cooler because of where it is in the house.
