    Because you can't keep them all.

    Ok so maybe I would like to, but. I've seen alot of threads where people are asking for opinions from everyone about pairings. So, I thought I would post up mine. I get it when everyone says to go for what you want to produce, I'm just looking for maybe some ideas that I haven't thought of. Or, like the title says, I can't keep them all so some will need new homes. And having ones others will be interested in will help that. So here is what I have;

    1.4 Butter (one female has a butter/het Red look?)
    1.1 Pewter (cinnamon)
    1.0 Enchi
    1.0 Pastel Het Clown
    0.1 Pastel PH Clown
    0.1 Het Clown
    1.1 Het Carmel Albino
    0.1 Bumble Bee
    0.1 Mojave
    0.1 Normal (Reduced Pattern)
    0.1 Normal (Suspected Het Red, Mother of female butter above)
    0.1 Granite
    1.0 Dinker (Looks like Het Red)
    1.2 Normal

    Re: Because you can't keep them all.

    You have a LOT of different combinations to choose from... I don't think you're going to get too many responses with so many choices.

    What is it that you want to produce?

    I think a lot of beginning breeders buy snakes or get them in trades because they're pretty (or a good deal) without much thought about what they want to do with them.

    For example, I have some long term goals to produce Pewter Clowns, Albino Pinstripes, Panda and Super Pastel Pieds and a few others. There are so many options with what I have and not enough room so I won't breed certain morphs that don't fit into my plans such as Spiders, Axanthics or Ghosts.

    Figure out what you really want and work from there.

    As far as what I want to produce. I want one or two BELs prob a 1.1 I love my bee and would like a male Queen Bee (I have a clutch cooking that might give me one) I love clowns and want to expand my breeding group for those. I like really bright snakes and high contrast ones. I saw an Enchi granite, that was cool looking. Ok so my thoughts are;
    1.0 Butter x 0.2 Butter, 0.1 Mojave
    1.0 Enchi x 0.2 Butter, 0.1 Bumblebee, 0.1 Granite, 0.1 Normal (reduced)
    1.0 Pewter x 0.1 Pewter, 0.1 Normal (pos het red), 0.2 Normal
    1.0 Pastel het clown x 0.1 Pastel PH clown, Het clown
    1.0 Het Carmel x Het Carmel

    Sounds about right, but I think I would put the pewter male to one of the butters too.

    Yeah, I guess I'm thinking about rotating the three males with the butters. More of a surprise that way.

    Are all these babies? I say sell them all (Roughly $4000-$4500 worth) and buy what you want.
